We heard your feedback and today we’re introducing the first of a series of improvements to our Chat Overlay: expect more soon 🚀

Here's what's new:

• Displayed comments. Comments on screen now persist even when toggling the overlay on or off and they now include the entire message history from your studio chat
• Clear empty state messaging. When the overlay is empty, you'll see a helpful message explaining that new comments will appear in real time
• Automatic cleanup between broadcasts. In Reusable Studios, the Chat Overlay clears its content automatically when a broadcast ends, so you always start fresh

Now you can confidently toggle the Chat Overlay on and off without losing your comment history, and viewers will understand what to expect when the overlay is empty and shown on screen.

YouTube’s content categories help boost discovery and views on your livestream: now you can add them directly from the StreamYard broadcast creation modal!

Simply create a new stream with YouTube as the destination. From there, choose the category which most closely matches the content of your stream (all the options listed match the official list on YouTube).

Once published, your livestream will automatically appear under the category of your choice.

📝 Introducing Teleprompter

We've added a built-in Teleprompter to help you deliver your message with clarity and confidence—whether you're recording tutorials, hosting interviews, or presenting live.

Here's what's new:

• On-screen script display that's only visible to you, never shown on stream
• Automatic scrolling with 4 adjustable speed levels to match your speaking pace
• Font size controls for comfortable reading at any distance
• Play, pause, and replay controls to stay in control of your delivery
• Responsive design that adapts to portrait and landscape orientations

Simply write your script in the Notes tab, enable the Teleprompter, and watch it scroll smoothly while you maintain eye contact with the camera. No external tools—just you, your message, and your audience.

Reusable Studios are now available for On-Air webinars, giving you flexibility and easy setup for recurring events.

Here's what's new:

• Create reusable webinar studios to keep your branding and customization settings
• Registrant carryover. Choose whether your registrant list persists across multiple webinars in the same studio
• Custom fields preserved. Registration forms and custom fields carry over automatically
• Consistent settings. Watch page settings apply to all webinars in your reusable studio
• Easy link for sharing. Find your shareable link to your webinar’s VOD in the recording tab after each event

Now you can run weekly shows, recurring workshops, or regular webinars without creating a new setup each time, while keeping your existing registrants informed automatically.

We've added a new option that lets StreamYard automatically adapt to your device's theme settings. With the new Auto option, your StreamYard experience will seamlessly switch between light and dark mode based on your system preferences—no manual adjustments needed.

Now you can enjoy a consistent visual experience across your system without having to remember to switch themes manually on StreamYard.

We've brought back AI thumbnails with improved performance and exciting new capabilities. Now you can create eye-catching thumbnails for your scheduled streams using different layout templates and customization options!

We've added a built-in QR code generator that makes sharing links with your audience incredibly easy.

Here's what's new:

• Generate QR codes for any URL directly from your Media Assets tab
• Display QR codes as overlays visible to everyone on Stage
• Add optional titles to provide context for your QR codes
• QR codes are saved in your Brand and available in all your studios

With the QR code visible throughout your stream, your viewers can scan them at any time to visit your websites, sign-up pages, or any content you want to share.

We've enhanced the Studio chat to make audience questions easier to spot and respond to during your streams.

Questions appear with subtle highlighting and a question icon in both your Comments tab and the on-stream chat overlay.

Now you can quickly identify when viewers are asking questions, helping you stay more engaged with your audience and create better interactive experiences during your live streams.

We've reworked how you control element sizing in your studio, making it faster and more intuitive to get the perfect layout for your streams.

Here's what's been updated:

• Added Maximize/Minimize buttons that appear when you hover over elements on Stage
• Removed hidden solo layout crop toggle from your Studio settings (now handled by the maximize/minimize buttons)

Now you can effortlessly maximize any guest, camera, or media element right from the Stage, and toggle between full-screen and cropped solo layouts instantly. Try it out!

• Doubled the slots for custom layouts from 8 to 16
